Pattern Info

Pattern info for this project can be found here:
Pug, Knit Your Own Dog by Sally Muir & Joanna Osborne

Instructions

Don't think too hard, just follow the pattern and it will make sense as you start to piece it together. The Dachsund was too maddening to complete, but the Pug was the first one I did and it went well. Great patterns in this book that can be adapted to other dogs of similar body types with a little imagination

Difficulty:

Category: Knitting

Type of item: Toy

For: Children

Style: Whimsical, Cute

Materials

variety of scrap wools

What was your inspiration?

This was a payment of sorts for our house/pet sitter. Her family bought me the book and requested a Pug. They also want a St Bernard, which will require a little finesse with a different pattern. I have a Newf, which is also not included among the breed patterns; but, the Schnauzer is to die for-buy the book and knit one!

What are you most proud of?

finishing this. It is a little maddening for anyone who dies not have patience and does not take time to READ a pattern instead of assuming what it will instruct one to do.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Just follow the pattern, dont think too much.

thanks! they really dont seem like they will come to life until the project is nearly completed, then its amazing how POOF you have a dog with personality. I plan on doing that Schnauzer next-the Westie is also adorable.
