Stitch & Slash »

Instructions

the instructions in the class are very clear. I just have to go back to remember how to measure and do the back of the pillow.........I am happy with the class because it is ALWAYS there! I will take another as soon as I see one that appeals. Thanks.

Difficulty:

Category: Quilting

Type of item: Home Decor

For: Women

Style: Whimsical, Funky, Casual

Materials

Four different fabrics....STITCH and SLASH CLASS....took a morning to make (about 3 hours)...now I have to put back on it to make a pillow. We have secret gift at MODERN QUILT guild and girl wanted sea blues and greens and loves Kaffe fabrics....that's why I created this. I may make something more MODern also because this is pretty funky! Love the process.

Is this your project? Tell us more!

Actually, I think your friend will appreciate this design -- to me it's very modern!

Modern has many meanings doesn't it? The new modern quilt guilds seem to be embracing modern as minimal. This is not minimal design. But to me modern also means current and new. And that fits. I had a good time making it in a day. I have a Sesame Street attention span. I love a project I. Can finish in a sitting or a day. Have trouble completing long projects. I will go back and watch the class for things I missed again. Great hints...logical order. Good class. Thank you!

Thanks. I had a request to do something for a MODERN QUILT GUILD person and she wanted calm colors....blues and greens....so this is for her....however it's NOT a MOD design so I may have to do something else. We will see. It's a fun process and took me just about three hours to complete. Of course now I have to find a pillow form and do the backing.
