What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Caroline, to sew the curved lines I put the piece with a "c' shape on top. I align the two raw edges and sew three stitches. I realign the edges and sew three more stitches. If more than 3 stitches are sewn at a time, the seam will not come out curved. I only pin the top and bottom points because I am constantly readjusting the fabrics.

I love this quilt! Did you use a special ruler for the curved shapes?
