What materials did you use? Cotton layer cakes, cotton jelly rolls, cotten flannel backing

What are you most proud of? I finally finished it and baby is only 3..5 months old.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? It would be better probably to not mix regular cotton and flannel -I ended up with wrinkles in the back.

How wonderful...a great way to show your appreciation to this family and I am sure you loved every minute of the work. Wrinkles? Who cares. It's a wonderful quilt. I have a thing for firemen too. My Dad was a volunteer in the small town I grew up in......a million years ago. And my grandfather on Mother's side was a full time fireman with a horse drawn wagon, if you can believe it
