Hi Nildin! You use up all the left-over jelly roll pieces for the piano key border. Sew about 4 or 5 together with a quarter-inch seam, square off one end and cut them into 2.5 inch strips and then join them together to make a longer strip. I had to 'jiggle' the seams a bit so that I ended up with a whole square in each corner. Hope that helps!

Thanks for your kind comments! I was trying to keep my costs down so I used a flat sheet on the back. It's bright red and I also embroidered 'Ellie 2012' across some on the middle squares on the back. The quilt is a gift for my niece who turned 18 this week and started university.
