Jean-ius: Reverse Engineer Your Favorite Fit »

Instructions

I took the Jean-ius class last Spring. I have already made 3 or 4 pair and finally took a photo of these recently.
I did not make my own pattern as the class teaches as I have the MyLabel software from Bernina and I used the jeans pattern in that because it goes by my body measurements. The class was very helpful in altering some things on the pattern for fit and learning better sewing ...

Tariela - you don't have to have a Bernina sewing machine to use the software for the pattern design. I bought mine a few years ago - not sure if they still sell it or have updated it. There is another one called My Pattern Designer that is suppose to be really good - you buy it on the internet. I only have the My Label - it still requires some tweaking with getting all the measurements & fit just right but once you do things fit really well.

Beautiful, very beautiful. Does the software work only with Bernina sewing machines?

Love the jeans. I like plain pockets.

Thanks, Gail. I kind of like the plain pockets better than the ones with all the bling. I still need to make another pair - I have the fabric but I have been too busy knitting and crocheting new designs lately.

Thank you. Yes, they do take some time. I really like making them better than buying them though.

Thank you. Hope to start my next pair soon. It is so hard to find jeans that fit the way you want them to these days. Taking this class really helped me perfect the sewing techniques of making jeans.
