What materials did you use? Asian fabric, embroidery thread, large needle, batting and a stick to put through the top to hang it. Size is about 24" ft by 36" but you can make it any size with a copier by blowing up the Japanese letters .

What are you most proud of? I still have the book and was able to take a pic of the pic because I gave my daughter the wall hanging before I was able to take a pic of the actual finished item.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? I really don't have any at this time. If I find the book, I will post the name and where to get it.

me too. I wish I still had to book. I took all my Asian fabric up to my daughter thinking she would quilt but she put it all in boxes and stored it all and may never touch it and won't give any of it back so I am out. Guess it doesn't matter. I play with string now. Bless you Teresa!

basically you have the book that I was dreaming of when I did my project! I couldnt find any anywhere and ordered a book about Sashiko online after I made it to see how to quilt it, I didnt realize I could get a Sashiko with the love sign in it, too! That's uncanny!

I have been looking for something to send to my son--who lives in Japan. usually their walls are very bare. I think his new wife might like this.. thank you!!

The letter can be taken off the computer and blown up. Put the applique in the middle of any quilt like a medallion and you have it.

by letter I meant the Japanese letter for LOVE. It can be googled, blown up......stitchingteresa did it without this book. She can tell you how she did it.

yes, you can look in my projects and find just the sign for love on white...I didnt know this pattern existed so I looked up the sign and blew it up on the copier for a pattern. I love the green material around it, though!

Thanks! It is a pic but I did make it. I gave it away so don't have either the book or the wall hanging. SAD!
