What was your inspiration?

I used the traditional 6" log cabin quilt block from Laura Nownes book "Quilts! Quilts!! Quilts!!! Hopefully, I won't get kicked out of the BOM for not following directions! ;)

I'm laughing so hard at your "not following directions" comment and wondering if you are a teacher since we are such incorrigible direction non-followers. Regardless of whose directions you chose to use, I'm intrigued by your fabric choices and very curious to see what you do next.

I like your color combinations, I'm sure the point is make this project your own so I for one look forward to what you come up with next.

The first thing I thought of is that I liked each fabric a different color. And I think the whole purpose is to begin with some direction and always make it your own. Is that a renegade? Maybe that's us.
