What was your inspiration?

Fons and Porter, Jan 2012, Carolina Chain. Floral fabric.

What are you most proud of?

I actually used some of my fabric collection. Now I can use a quilt when the weather turns cold. Had fun with pillow shams and all my ruffles. Husband even likes it!

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

I took a class at a local shop and this is what we made. Work on it a little at a time and do not think a
bout the final product. It is a series of small projects. The mitering of 4 rows was a headache, but I used rulers and pins and an iron and tape and held my breathe.

I paid for it to be quilted. Made two pillow shams from extra fabric, added antique lace. Just take your time rely on instructors and friends but just do not stop....you can finish it.

I just love this pattern and the way you have filled inbetween the chain with flowers. You have done fab work and love those pillow shams also.

Thank you for your kind words. I liked the floral fabric and this pattern allowed it to shine. Pillow shams were fun to make.
