this was a gourd that grew through a fence. the fence had to be cut to get the gourd out. i cut the top off the small part that was in the fence, then painted the whole thing with acrylic paint, and finished with polyurethane.
What was your inspiration?
I saw a picture of an Indian gourd that had a smaller gourd attached to the side of it, with little rugs in it. This made me think of painted it like an Indian with a basket on her back to carry her baby.
What are you most proud of?
I'm proud of the entire thing!
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
It's much easier than it looks! Just go for it!
