Pattern Info

Pattern info for this project can be found here:
Burda exclusive 1/1996, Burda 11/2001 124

Instructions

No, but for the first shirts, 1996 Burda, I treated the cuffs as I would have a collar and stand, at least that's what I think the instructions were telling me.

Difficulty:

Category: Sewing

Type of item: Clothing

For: Other

Style: Traditional, Retro / Vintage, Formal / Bridal, Classic, Geeky, Outdoorsy

Materials

Cotton, polycotton, viscose. Thread, buttons

What was your inspiration?

Seeing the row of shirts that Pam had made, lined up on the rack, on her video

What are you most proud of?

That I turned out almost decent collar points for the first time ever!

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

My advice to myself is make sure you watch all the instructions before you even think of buying fabric and watch your iron's temperature. You don't want to melt another collar now, do you?

Thank you Scheri! Yes I did, and that's why it turned out so much better than the others. I still can't do the flat felling on the shoulder joint seam yet. I guess I'll just have to make another shirt to try it again.

They are all very nice but I really like your fourth. Did you use Pam Howards class for construction?
