I really like your fabric choices. I haven't started my quilt yet because I'm still trying to choose fabrics. I've been looking for 3 to 4 fabrics, but I like that you did it with just 2, plus trim. What did you use on the back? Did you do the quilt sandwich where your stitches show or the quilt cracker and cover with another fabric?

For the back I used the dark green, with lighter green bobbin thread. For this first one I did the quilt sandwich. I try to follow teacher example and instructions on most of my first time stuff and then I can vary it after I have my basics down. If I was going to do another one, I would probably do the cracker. Then it would be easier to hide the thread. Now that I understand how to do this type of quilt, I am looking @ other designs to do. I really like this method, than doing the regular sewing method. Thanks for compliment. Enjoy the process and the finished quilt.

Does the fabric have the hummingbirds on it? Or did you add the designs?

Hi Pat thank you for the wonderful comment. Yes the fabric has the hummingbirds on it. I had to remember it was a directional fabric and cut accordingly.
