Horse Chestnut Leaf

Make It

This project was made from an independent Craftsy designer's pattern:
Horse Chestnut Leaf »

Difficulty:

Category: Knitting

Type of item: Plant or Flower

For: Other

Style: Traditional, Outdoorsy, Eco-Friendly

Materials

A fingering weight 4ply sock wool. The leaf is mounted on a piece of felt.

What was your inspiration?

I knitted this leaf to go with my conker pattern. My inspiration came from nature, and the beautiful large horse chestnut leaves in my local park.

What are you most proud of?

I pleased with the look of the different sized leaflets. I think it is fairly accurate, and quite clever that the rows of stitches match the veins of the real leaves.

I mounted my leaf on felt, and am going to incorporate it into a bag.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

This project won't take the average knitter very long. Have fun experimenting with different colours.
