I almost skipped this first project entirely seeing that we have been having 90 degree days in OK. However, if there were some steps that would help me later with the t-shirts I did not want to miss them. I got the fleece for $2 at the thrift store and pieced my sleeves because of the limited leftover fabric I had after cutting the other pieces. I also cut 3/4 length sleeves because I ran out of fabric! I am overall pleased with the result since it really was a quick project once I got my pieces cut. I used a double needle for the first time to hem the hood and the sleeves and I love the look. It is a cute "hip" pullover and though I used pieced sleeves because of my scrap leftovers, it ended up being one of my favorite parts of the shirt. I did not cut my hood in 1 piece and I had some trouble with the overlap of the neck because of this. I love what Meg says about basting the front before you "for real" sew it closed because it really does make the outfit. I also found the shoulders to be a bit bulky looking but this completely resolved when I serged the seams.
