What was your inspiration?

Amy Gibson of course!

What are you most proud of?

I really had no desire to do the hexagons but once I started playing with them I had so much fun. I decided the colors I was using didn't really work for the 'sun' block so I made a flower instead. These were so relaxing to stitch while watching TV or waiting around. I'm converted!

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Just try them!! I glued the paper hexagon to a piece of cardboard and used that to trace onto freezer paper. Freezer paper will stick to fabric when ironed shiny side down and you can reuse it several times.
