I used images of the characters for inspiration and then headed to the thrift store. We were fortunate to find most of the pieces we needed! For the few extras, we got creative with men's t-shirts, which, btw, don't fray!-For Hermione's scarf, we cut up two men's t-shirts into squares (a red and a yellow one) and sewed the squares together end-to-end.

What was your inspiration?
My kids and their inspiration was Harry Potter and Star Wars.
What are you most proud of?
Putting t-shirts to great use. I really like Obi-Wan's cloak!
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Figure out which costume you wan to make and search for some images online. Once you have a general idea of what you want look for those items in your home or go to a thrift store. If you need to make some "extras", then look online for tutorials!
