Twistknot Hemp Necklace

Instructions

When drilling or cutting Sea Shells , take extra precaution not to breath the dust. The shell dust can make your lungs bleed. The Natural Hemp rope is done with a simple twist knot. You can probably find this on the internet. Placing of shells and types of shells are totally up to what you can find or purchase.

THANKS Ronald, I appreciate your help and information. I do not mind breaking some shells since I can find several on the beach near my country house so no problem. As for the tool, I will have to inquire in the local market for what is available (I live in Athens, Greece). However I have of course a seam ripper. I Love and share your attitude and philosophy about nature. Thanks again.

Love your natural shells and macrame necklace. Many thanks for the information on the dangers of drilling shells. In fact I was planning to buy a small drill myself since I often find on the beach shells with tiny holes or none at all, as well as sea flat pebbles I could use. Can you suggest a site with similar information? Would a mask help? Thank you

Always use a mask. Use a water friendly drill ( check with Lowes etc.) Some shells I use a seam ripper from my sewing kit after breaking the tip off with pliers. works real well. sometimes you will break the shell beyond use so have extras.
