What materials did you use? Cotton Fabric (exterior & interior), fusible heavyweight interface, fusible matte vinyl (for interior fabric), thread, zipper, seam ripper.

What are you most proud of? That it turned out pretty well for being my first project.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? If you are a beginner, don't do the project in one day. It will take time. I cut my fabric (the most tedious part) one day, fused the interface and vinyl, the next, then sewed the pouch, the last day. Sewing the pouch took me 3 hours b/c I was re-reading the tutorial, searching other tutorials with more detailed instructions, also fixing any mistakes that occurred along the way. Used 2x3 measurement for tabs (click on the photo for more detailed instructions on this). Used fusible interfacing for the exterior fabric to give it more form and fusible matte vinyl on the interior fabric as this will be used for make-up and wanted to protect the fabric.

Oh! I was thinking of making this for my granddaughter and your choice of fabrics makes it come alive for me. Thanks for the inspiration.
