What was your inspiration?
My daughter wanted a fall wedding cake. So this is what I made for her.
What are you most proud of?
I am just proud that I was able to make this cake all come together.
The cake was a scratch Pumpkin Cake with home made Cream Cheese Frosting.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
If you plan to make this allow yourself plenty of time for hand making almost all the decorations and also painting them... Very fun but very time consuming as well.
I hand cut and carved each piece of wood out of fondant and cut each leaf and pressed veins from a real leaf into each one, then painted each leaf.
