What was your inspiration?

Some small off-cuts of Harris Tweed fabric came my way and I just had to use them. My husband needed a new wallet so I decided to make him one. He was really pleased with it so I made this one to sell! Harris Tweed is a luxurious pure woollen fabric which is only made on the Scottish Outer Hebrides islands and is the only fabric protected by its own Act of Parliament in the UK.

Hi Rachel. I think the lining fabric was called paw prints. I bought it on ebay. I'm afraid I didn't use a pattern for the wallet but it was really easy to make. It's basically a series of rectangles laid on top of each other with binding stitched around the edges. Just cut the lining pieces to the size of pockets that you want and add some interfacing to each one. The tab was sewn to the outside of the tweed piece before adding the pockets. I hope this helps. :o)

Hi ValUK, The wallet looks great. What fabric did you use inside? Did you design your own pattern or is there a pattern I can buy from somewhere? Cheers, Rachel
