What was your inspiration?

My daughter is a knitter and has the cutest quilted fabric holder for her needles. I''m not a knitter...or a quilter either...but I do use a needle and thread occasionally, so when I saw similar needle books in gift shops for 8 and 9 dollars each, I set out to recreate it! I made this book in under an hour with only basic hand stitching required and the cost was.............................................42 cents!
The hardest part for me was cutting the felt in a straight line!
.29 cents was for the felt, I used about a 12 inch piece of ribbon, and one button.

What are you most proud of?

I'm very happy that it turned out so cute and this is the gift that all my sisters-in-law are getting for Christmas this year! I'll go to the fabric store and buy a bunch of needles and safety pins and load it up!

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

I guess I would suggest a rotary fabric cutter if you're like me and can't cut a straight line! Other than that, just go with it!
