"True" knitted lace — that is, where both right-side and wrong-side rows contain pattern stitches — can be daunting for those new to lace knitting. However, working in the round means every row is right-side row, which makes Hanae a great introduction to the gentle art of true knitted lace. The lace pattern is from a Japanese stitch dictionary -- one of my favorite sources of inspiration!

I love how the top comes together in a pattern of its own!

If you haven't tried a lace pattern with pattern stitches on every round, this is a great place to start!
