Child's SkirtDetermine what you'd like the length of the finished skirt to be, then add 3 inches.
Cut a piece of fabric that length by Width of Fabric (WOF).
With right sides together, seam along selvedge edges.

What was your inspiration?
I loved this print, then as I was sewing things just kept coming to me... put orange ribbon at the bottom... no, wait, put yellow AND orange ribbon at the bottom... oh, and there's enough of that orange fabric left to make a sash! Yeah, that's it!
What are you most proud of?
It's darn cute!
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Put the waist elastic in last -- after youv'e done your preferred embellishments on the skirt. That way the skirt will stay flat and east to work with until the end.
