Green Elegance

Is this your project? Can you share instructions or a pattern with the Craftsy community?

Category: Jewelry

Type of item: Accessory

For: Women

Style: Preppy, Classic, Cute, Holiday, Formal / Bridal, Romantic, Traditional

Materials

I used green swarovski rondelles, gold color metal swarovski crystal rondelles, clear fire polished multifaceted czech glass beads, silver white flexible beading wire (so it did not show thru the clear beads) , gold color lobster clasp, jump rings and crimps, non tarnish brass 20 gauge wire for the earwires, gold color headpins, bent nose pliers, round nose pliers, flush cutters, bail maker pliers for earring shape, hammer and steel block to gently harden earwires.

What was your inspiration?

I don't think I had any particular inspiration. Just some pretty beads to put together.

What are you most proud of?

I love the way they all sparkle together. It is easy to do and looks like a high end piece of dressy jewelry.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

i would recommend that you not use the same pliers on the beading wire that you do on the ear wires. The beading wires have steel in them and will dull a pair of flush cutters very quickly. You get what you pay for when you buy inexpensive cutters. If you are only going to do a couple of projects it will be fine to use the same ones. but for repeated use, get a hardened edge one for the beading wire. you will be glad you did.
