What materials did you use? Cotton Twill for the bag body, lining and handles - various metal hardware and zippers

What are you most proud of? That I did it! It took a while, and I had to unpick some parts to get them perfect, but I'm really happy with the result. I've always been intimidated of zippers, but the silver zipper that I put on the back of the bag was so easy to put in (thanks to the tutorial), that I went ahead and did another one for the inside of the bag.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? wash the fabric first, even if you won't wash the bag later - my white lining has green dye rubbing off on it from the bag body :(

Gorgeous bag. Bravo. I so want to try making a bag like this!

This bag is so pretty and neatly done. I hope my first real bag turns out as great as yours :-) Thanks for the tip in washing fabric first!

Thank you jstar. Thank you so much for adding photos! Photos of zipper 1 and 2 and your description really help me to go forward. I have a lot of zippers in my stash and all of them are too long so this is a good solution for me and my stash...
