What was your inspiration?
I wanted a neutral dress to wear with brightly colored cardigans for fall/winter. I had two yards of this Robert Kaufman Laguna jersey, so I was able to lengthen the hemline. If I'd had more it would have been a maxi dress. There are a few ways to lengthen the pattern, but I chose to lengthen at the hemline by making the dress fuller in the skirt. I just taped paper to the bottom of the pattern and continued the sides of the dress down going at the same angle and re-drew the hem line. This made a fuller skirt, which I like for this version.
I love how quick this project is, and how comfortable!
