What advice would you give someone starting this project? Don't give up onto the little ones or ourselves. We ave so much to offer the younger generation.

First, let me say that your granddaughter is adorable! I'm teaching my daughter to sew this summer (she's 20, but hat ever), I think it's a great way to build creativity and patience. Good job starting so young, I bet you two will have tons of fun together.

Making straight seams, so she got a little bored, which I expect. But her interest will peak and wane throughout the summer. Overall, she'll have nice memories with Grandma and learn a few things about sewing. She knows the names of the sewing machine parts (pressed foot, bobbin, etc.) and I keep repeating "take your foot off the pedal" when she is adjusting her fabric. The first rule is no sewing without Grandma! Good luck and have fun with your daughter. They are some of my fondest with my mom who is almost 90!
