What are you most proud of? I am very proud of how quick it is to make a personalised mug rug whether you are experienced at sewing or a beginner. This alphabet pattern is also so versatile. It isn't just for names or mug rugs - it can be used for a whole host of items.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? If you are very new to applique and sewing then I would recommend hand stitching the letters in place. However, you could also use a zig-zag stitch on your sewing machine if you are more confident. Whichever method you use, a named mug rug is such a great pressie. I've made the Gran in Christmas prints (with a touch of gingham, of course!) but it would look equally good in plain fabrics.

I love it, it's so beautiful! You also have a wonderful eye for your color choices!

I have some gingham, I should try it with that fabric!

Thank you Lisa. and a little bit of gingham gives any mug rug a 'homely' quality.

The colors on this are simply wonderful! I would never have guessed to place that green on a blue background. That gingham is like your signature. :)

Thank you - I wasn't 100% sure to begin with but it turned out so pretty.

Thank you. Sometimes I play with different fabric combinations and it turns out pretty. Other times not so much!

Love all your beautiful mug rugs. I think I may try making them for gifts for our ladies Christmas tea at church. I better get moving its the first Fri in Dec.
