What was your inspiration?
Took a class, I did not like the color combo in the magazine so I went shopping in my stash. I do not remember when I purchases this fabric but it was just what I need, something bold that would hold up to the design. This is an advance pattern so, I was looking foward to expanding my skill set. Trust me, I did a bit of fussing and the first (maybe second or was it the fourth) attempt I decided to quit. The next day, I recut fabric for the center and slowly stiched the sections together. (The rejected center was turned into a lap quilt which I have pinned for quilting.)
What are you most proud of?
Proud that I did not lose many points! :-) Also glad to learn new skills and complete a challenging pattern. Now other patterns do not seems as scarey. I am so glad I used bold colors..... And that I finished it. (Still need to add binding but that will be done next week)
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Practice, do one step at a time, do not sew if you are upset, especially if it is a complicated design. Strech yourself
