What was your inspiration?
I love to knit things that are fun, but also practical. When I received a spring yarn catalog a few months ago, the Brushstrokes DK and pattern were in it. My daughters (I have twin 5 year old girls) really liked it, so I thought I'd give it ago. It gives me great pleasure to make the girls things they will enjoy.
What are you most proud of?
I'm quite proud that I made the first cardigan from the pattern exactly, and then I modified the second one so it was even better. I'm still pretty new to knitting clothing, and changing a pattern can be daunting. The second one turned out even better however, I was very pleased.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Don't worry about the color change, and it matching up. The fun thing about this yarn is that each and every project will be different, depending on where the yarn starts. I loved that I made two the same but they look different because of the yarn patterning. Also, if you make the smallest size, you might need more yarn. The pattern calls for 1-100g ball but I needed up needing a bit more from a second ball.
