What materials did you use? Scrap cotton fabric, Inktense pencils

What are you most proud of? I'm most pleased with the pearl earring, her left eye, the shading on her face and getting it finished!.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Don't try anything too small if you want to include a reasonable amount of detail. I reduced the picture to 6.5" x 8.5" overall to fit my scrap of fabric, so the face is very small (2" x 1.5") and it doesn't give a lot of room for manoeuvre on details like the eyes. The fabric medium does change the colour and texture and left her with frown lines and wrinkles, so I tried trapuntoing her face with limited results. The detail and unframed pictures were shot before using the medium. I had to put her behind glass to try to smooth her skin out!

Love the background that you have added.
