What are you most proud of? I have made two versions - one fused and one stitched. The fused gingerbread men turn out firmer and I have hand finished and machine finished them - I like the look of both finishes. The stitched version turned out with a frayed edge and looks rustic and country - which I like. I just can't decide which string of men I like best so I have both strung up in my workroom wall. One pattern creates a Gingerbread Cup mug rug, a Gingerbread Men mug rug and now Gingerbread bunting - all for $1.99 - good value is something I am very proud of.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Make one of both methods of gingerbread men (detailed in the free pattern from my shop) and decide which you like the best. But if you can't decide then make both. I did and I still can't decide which I like best. The fused gingerbread make an excellent little project to do on-the-move. I have been seen stitching gingerbread men in the park, in the dentist's waiting room, at my local coffee shop and on the bus to work!!

This is really great. What a privilege it is going to be to follow you! Thanks.

Thank you. The faces on this mug rug and bunting were drawn on with permanent fabric marker whereas the Gingerbread Mug Rug face details were stitched. I have an easy way to stitch face details - see Mug Rug Basics on my blog (just Google 'Patchsmith'). And if I can help in any way then don't hesitate to contact me.
