What was your inspiration?

Log Cabin Knitting AND the quilts of Gee's Bend... you can read more about my inspiration here: http://nelkindesigns.blogspot.com/2011/09/gees-cabin-free-pattern.html

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Have fun choosing colors and make sure they contrast enough to each other otherwise the striping will get lost!
