White crochet cotton, size 10, a size 8 (1.50 mm) steel crochet hook, foam core board, plastic wrap, fabric stiffener, paper towel, and rust-proof straight pins. Optional materials: assorted ribbon, jump rings, crystal beads, clear glitter paint, ornament hangers, and small suction cups with hook.
What was your inspiration?
Snowflakes are my favorite subject to create. I love the intricacy of snowflakes and that no two snowflakes are alike!
What are you most proud of?
I enjoy playing with the stitches to create different designs. I love to see the different patterns that are created on each snowflake. The snowflakes make great ornaments, gift decorations or even window hangers.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
These snowflakes are a great project for the intermediate crocheter. Some of the snowflakes are more intricate than others - be sure to keep track of which step you're on in each of the rounds.
