What was your source for this crocheting project?
Online Photo or Website
Name of website or photo Fun & Fancy Flakes No. 1
What materials did you use? White crochet cotton, size 10, a size 8 (1.50 mm) steel crochet hook, foam core board, plastic wrap, fabric stiffener, paper towel, and rust-proof straight pins. Optional materials: assorted ribbon, jump rings, crystal beads, clear glitter paint, ornament hangers, and small suction cups with hook.
What are you most proud of? I enjoy playing with the stitches to create different designs. I love to see the different patterns that are created on each snowflake. The snowflakes make great ornaments, gift decorations or even window hangers.
What advice would you give someone starting this project? These snowflakes are a great project for the intermediate crocheter. Some of the snowflakes are more intricate than others - be sure to keep track of which step you're on in each of the rounds. This pattern is available for $3.50 and is written in U.S. terms.
