What was your inspiration?
My inspiration was the Maggie Austin Frilled Fondant course. Her cakes are soo beautiful I had to try to try her method for making frills. The course gave all the information I needed to create my own version of her frilled cakes. The cake was a Chocolate Fudge with a berry puree filling, all covered with dark chocolate ganache, and iced with fondant frills.
What are you most proud of?
This was a birthday cake for my niece. She has a collection of orchids, so that was the flower I wanted to decorate the cake with. First time I made this type of orchid with 50/50 and was very pleased with the result.
