love, love, LOVE! That quilting skill is awesome......how long have you been fmq'ng? Love the shiny polyester. I, too, am experimenting with "trilobal" polyester (SuperiorThread.com has tons of colors)...they even come varigated.

Thanks! I began FMQ about 4 years ago. It was a struggle the first couple of years; but as you can see I haven't given up. There is so much to learn about thread, needles, batting, stitching techniques, etc. I hope you are having fun with trilobal!

Hi, thanks so much. I just invested in a new machine and I have been working on increasing needle and thread knowledge. I still have much to learn, but I believe the machine, thread and needle changes are helping and freeing me to create. The tension tips from Cindy have also helped. I do a LOT of practive with paper and pen before I try it on the machine.

Yes, I am! LOL. I am learning so much and trying to move it from my head to eye hand coordination. I am working on that muscle memory.

that is wonderful quilting! I like the way you overquilted the feathers to make them really pop. and the circles and everything looks so cool. What kind of thread and fabric did you use to make this look?

I was also wondering what kind of thread you used, thanks for letting us know. I just can't get over how much I love the dense thread painting you did in this piece--I HAVE to give this kind of technique a try now too!
