What materials did you use? A batik pre-printed wholecloth panel, 80/20 Hobbs fusible batting, Isacord 40wt embroidery thread

What are you most proud of? Overall, I am glad I am facing the challenges and learning. For my first attempt at wholecloth quilting, it's not a bad start.

Great project to learn on! I always recommend straight basting a wholecloth quilt first to stabilize. Quilt your "big bones" or major designs first and then quilt backgrounds last. You have lots of areas to play here...have fun!!! :)

Oh man! I am sure you can see I did not straight baste the quilt first! Live and learn...lol I have another one and I know where to get more....lol Thanks Cindy

How would you baste a 16x16 block? I used fuisble batting so it was pretty stable. The center is nice and flat, but the border, as you can see has ruffles. I plan to fill in the rest of the border.

for straight basting have another look at my "Cindy Seed Sampler". There is a photo of the basting I did. It's about 4" apart but it is probably not necessary to do it so close together

Wow, why can't I remember that lesson? lol I need to go over that section again. I am so glad we can watch it over and over! Thanks cameron.
