Is this your project? Can you share instructions or a pattern with the Craftsy community?

Difficulty:

Category: Quilting

For: Other

Style: Classic, Religious

Materials

cotton fabric, decorative thread, wool yarn, glass beads, twine, tulle

What was your inspiration?

This is based on a lectionary reading for the second Sunday of Lent: Mark 8:27-38. It's intended for personal meditation and reflection on "take up your cross and follow me." The size of the quilt is 15" x 17".

What are you most proud of?

I enjoyed taking a passage of scripture and trying to render it in fabric in a way that others can find it helpful for personal reflection.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Just enjoy the process of creating something for your own pleasure....

Amazing - peaceful and innovative. You must have put a lot of thought into this.

Thanks.... It's been very interesting to think about the underlying meaning or emotion in something and try to put it in fabric without making a pictorial quilt.... just more of an emotive piece....

This is beautiful, and because I love the scriptures more so. Simple but with meaning

I'm so sorry I didn't see your comment before. Thank you so much for stopping by and taking time to write. I have really enjoyed pondering the meaning of some portion of scripture and trying to render it in fabric.
