What was your inspiration?

I got the book "Flying Colors" by Gail Garber, and my husband and I concocted this design for a friend of ours, for her dining room table. It caused her to purchase new chairs! This was my first effort at really designing an art quilt, and also paper piecing. Learned a lot.

Yes, my first attempt at paper piecing. Design inspiration is from Gail Garber's "Flying Colors" book.
