What materials did you use? I used a brown light wool and some coordinating material I had for a dress.

What are you most proud of? That I finished and I can wear it.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Well, this is going to be long. I had so much trouble with this collar, I literally ripped it out at least 5 times and then ended up making a new collar and still couldn't get it to fit as instructed. So, I thought I had three choices 1. Throw it away, 2. Send it to Professor King to finish ( I didn't think he would do that) and 3. Just make it work. I chose #3, it is presentable but not like it is suppose to be. Next was the sleeves, When I put them in, they looked twisted to me so despite doing what Prof. King suggested they still looked twisted so once again I re-cut them as I thought I must have cut the first ones off grain, well the second ones came out exactly like the first ones, so I just put them in. I am sure all this is because of my sewing skills. I just loved Professor King, I think he is the best, this is the second class I have taken with him and would just love to see his sewing studio and to meet him. Anyway, my jacket isn't as nice as some of the ones I have seen but it works for me!!

Congratulations on finishing your jacket and not giving up in despair with all your collar problems. i love your choice of colors, wear it and be proud that it was all your own work.

Your coat looks great. I am hearing others having problems with their collars also. Must be one of those things that takes practice.

I love the two-tone effect. How industrious using remants from another dressmaking project.
