I used a top-whorl spindle and I was doing long drafting not short drafting like I should have.

I love the colors.! To make yarn is amazing, isn't it? A couple years ago I gave up on the drop spindle because I just couldn't get it. I think Dru's class is so helpful.

I really like making yarn...I think I'm hooked. Dru's class gave me the push I needed to try spinning. New craft! Yeah!

Yes this is my first yarn...I confess I watch the videos a week before I tried spinning. I was doing the long draw method and I felt it I didn't have any control over the roving or the spin. I watch the video again right after I spun this one and realized that I should have been using the short-draw method instead. I'm currently working on a new batch - same roving fiber etc just in a different color. It's working out a lot better using the short draw method. I will actually be able to do a Navajo ply after.

I like this colors a lot. i just bought the kit and class. i watched the videos already just waiting on my spindle! cant wait to get started!
