I am most proud of how well everything came together... It went really smoothly (which as you all know is not always the case!)....
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
BUY your red fondant.... every time I've tried to tint my own red fondant for covering a cake, the consistency is not good and it breaks and tears. Pipe "happy birthday" on the fire hose BEFORE rolling it into a coil.... steam the fire hydrant BEFORE you add the hose and dog to the board.
