I used a Man's X-Lg Sweater. It was only 60% wool so it came out softer than it should be. Try to be sure and get 100% wool sweaters.
What was your inspiration?
The UpCycle class. It is wonderful and gives you great ideas of what you can do to make one of a kind items.
What are you most proud of?
I made the sweater tote and it is big enough to carry books or be used as a shopping bag or even a diaper bag for the grand kids. Thanks Betz!
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Try to get 100% wool sweaters to use for project unless you want a softer tote. mine is softer and I had to finish the edges with zigzag stitch. This item will get used a lot!
