Wool is the perfect material for an oven mitt - it has a very high burn point, is an excellent insulator and is extremely durable.The finished mitt can be used on either hand and is machine washable.
I've shown pictures of two versions - the purple one is the short and simple size I like. A men may prefer a longer one to protect him from his grill.
