What was your inspiration?
I love antique holiday decor - this Jack is designed with the inspiration of an antique jack'o'lantern, but with a modern, quirky twist.
What are you most proud of?
This pattern hooks up pretty fast, especially if you use 3/8-inch wide wool strips. I love the way the plaid wool gives texture and shading to the primitive rug hooking.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
If you have not rug hooked before, practice a little before you start the project, just to get a feel for the technique of hooking. You can find instructions at my web site: www.folkandfiber.com
