Materials
Lots of fondant and lots of patience! Roses are handcrafted out of cold porcelain to make them a little more robust for transport to a wedding fair.
What was your inspiration?
I have a wedding fair in january I am preparing for. Have 5 dummy cakes to prepare. Wanted a modern, fashion-inspired cake that would stand out from the crowd.
What are you most proud of?
That I didn't throw the fondant out of the window when trying to work out how to graduate the colours.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
I think you just have to go for it and do it. I tried to prep a lot, but ended up winging a lot of the shading.
