What was your inspiration?

If you know my work, you know I use pages from books that have been discarded from schools and libraries...mostly art and textbooks. I could NOT resist this book of fairy tales that had been colored in, had pages missing and was destined for the trash bin! I used a page from The Frog Prince for the paper beads in the center strand, then just went and searched for the words I needed for the centerpiece. All the other beads are acrylic and very low cost. I'm thrilled to say this was sold to a woman who gave it to her first daughter going off to college!

What are you most proud of?

Every single piece of this, except for the jewelers cord, has been recycled and reused. It's Earth friendly and really keeps my prices rock bottom!

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Just use your imagination. You never run out of that! Oh...and lacquer, lots and lots of lacquer!

Awesome! I'd love to see the Braille version when you get it done.

Wow, that is neat. I like the recycled aspect. I think I'll have to ponder how to add a Braille element to the bracelet. And it will still be recycled because I emboss my Braille words on pieces cut from soda cans. Thanks for sharing.
