What was your inspiration?
My Grandma used to make cute crocheted cradle purses for my daughters, and she used to sell them in markets. I was thinking of how crafty she was, and how much she inspired me and it occurred to me that I should sew a fabric version of the time honored crocheted cradle purse.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Experiment with different fabrics and lengths. Make sure you use interfacing for the base, this will help it to stand up. I haven't tried to make it in various sizes, but I would encourage you to give it a try! It's adorable and I've had so many compliments on it so far.
