Fabric covered herb pots

Instructions

I've never used mod podge before so this was a really easy project to give it a go.
I cut the fabric into scraps of various sizes then using a paint brush applied some podge to the terra cotta pots, pressed down the fabric (trying to avoid wrinkles) then painted podge thinly over the top. What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Try to keep each coat of podge quite thin otherwise it takes ages to harden. It is worth allowing plenty of time to completely cure, or they will turn white when wet and may even bubble.
