Variety of beads - aqua, black, teal, silver, white, pearl etc. Non-Tarnish silver craft wire in 20, 22 and 24 gauge. Silver magnetic clasp.
What was your inspiration?
I found some wonderful two toned (aqua and black) round beads and decided to poke through my collection to see what matched. Surprisingly, I have a lot of blues in my stash, many of which I only had in ones and twos. So I used those as the focal, added some variety with silver beads and the rest just fell into place.
What are you most proud of?
I decided to add a clasp to make this necklace more convertible. It can be worn comfortably as a lasso style, a long double strand, a short triple strand or a clunky choker.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Take your time. This was a 6 hour or so project as each bead was individually wire wrapped. But it was fun to do. Once I had the design set up on my bead board, I could work on it for a few minutes and leave it if I needed to.
